Ingredients

  • 1 cup of shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella
  • 1 cup of diced ham
  • 1 package of puff pastry usually 2 sheets
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional herbs like thyme or rosemary

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface.
  • Cut the pastry into rectangles, roughly 3x5 inches.
  • Mix the diced ham, shredded cheese, salt, pepper, and any optional herbs in a bowl.
  • Place a dollop of the filling on one half of each rectangle.
  • Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling and press to seal.
  • Brush each stick with a beaten egg before placing on a baking tray.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Allow the sticks to cool slightly before serving.
