Delicious Ham and Cheese Pinwheels for Any Occasion

Ham and Cheese Pinwheels made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients

  • 1 package 8 oz crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz sliced ham
  • 4 oz shredded cheese cheddar, Swiss, or mozzarella
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh herbs parsley or chives
  • 1 egg for egg wash

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the crescent dough on a clean surface.
  • Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard over the dough.
  • Layer the sliced ham evenly over the mustard.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese and chopped herbs on top.
  • Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other.
  • Slice the rolled dough into 1-inch thick pinwheels.
  • Place the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush each pinwheel with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.
