Ingredients

  • 3 large sweet Vidalia onions, sliced into ¼-inch rings

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

 

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Prepare Baking Dish: Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or a small amount of butter.

  3. Layer Onions: Place the sliced onions evenly in the prepared baking dish.

  4. Season: Sprinkle the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper over the onions.

  5. Add Butter: Distribute the butter pieces evenly over the seasoned onions.

  6. Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the onions and butter.

  7. Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake, uncovered, for 35–40 minutes, or until the onions are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly with golden spots.
