1½ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly

¼ cup vegetable oil

¾ cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs, at room temperature

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1½ cups mashed ripe bananas (about 3–4 medium bananas)

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan and line the bottom and sides with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal. -
Combine Dry Ingredients:
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. -
Prepare Wet Mixture:
In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, vegetable oil, and sugar until well combined.
Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each. Stir in vanilla extract. -
Incorporate Bananas:
Mash the ripe bananas and stir into the wet ingredients until fully blended. -
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Don’t overmix. -
Add Chocolate Chips:
Fold in the chocolate chips evenly. -
Bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. -
Cool and Serve:
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes.
Use the parchment paper to lift it out, then cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
