Ingredients
For the Crust:

1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, softened

1 1/4 cups fresh strawberries, diced
For the Glaze:

1 1/4 cups powdered sugar

1/2 cup strawberries, chopped (not pureed)

2–3 tablespoons lemon juice
Instructions

Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Line a 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal. -
Prepare the Crust:

In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until creamy and fluffy.

Add the egg and mix until well combined.

Stir in the lemon juice and lemon zest (if using).

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

Gently fold in the diced strawberries.

Bake:

Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.

Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.

In a small bowl, combine the powdered sugar, chopped strawberries, and lemon juice.

Mix until smooth and well combined.

Once the bars have cooled, spread the glaze evenly over the top.
