2 cans (15 oz each) strawberry pie filling

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 large egg

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 box white or vanilla cake mix

½ cup (1 stick) cold salted butter, sliced thin

Optional: fresh strawberries for garnish
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F.

Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, egg, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.

Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry filling, spreading gently to create an even layer.

Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top of the cream cheese layer.

Place the thin slices of cold butter evenly over the cake mix, covering as much of the surface as possible.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the strawberry filling is bubbling around the edges.

Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.
