Ingredients

2 slices of your preferred bread (such as sourdough or Italian)

2 teaspoons softened butter

1 tablespoon pizza sauce

4 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

6 slices turkey pepperoni

1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions

Prepare the Bread: Butter one side of each bread slice.

Assemble the Sandwich:

Place one slice, buttered side down, on a plate.

Spread pizza sauce on the unbuttered side.

Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of mozzarella over the sauce.

Layer turkey pepperoni slices on top.

Add remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

Top with the second bread slice, buttered side up.

Cook the Sandwich: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 4-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
