  • 2 slices of your preferred bread (such as sourdough or Italian)

  • 2 teaspoons softened butter

  • 1 tablespoon pizza sauce

  • 4 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

  • 6 slices turkey pepperoni

  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

 

  1. Prepare the Bread: Butter one side of each bread slice.

  2. Assemble the Sandwich:

    • Place one slice, buttered side down, on a plate.

    • Spread pizza sauce on the unbuttered side.

    • Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of mozzarella over the sauce.

    • Layer turkey pepperoni slices on top.

    • Add remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

    • Top with the second bread slice, buttered side up.

  3. Cook the Sandwich: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 4-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

  4. Serve: Slice and enjoy immediately.
