Instructions
Step 1: Make the Filling
-
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar, diced jalapeños, crumbled turkey bacon, and a pinch of salt.
-
Set aside or refrigerate briefly to firm up.
Step 2: Prepare the Burger Patties
-
Divide the beef into 8 equal portions.
-
Flatten each into thin patties (about 4-5 inches wide).
Step 3: Assemble the Burgers
-
Scoop 1-2 tablespoons of filling onto 4 patties.
-
Top with the remaining patties.
-
Seal edges tightly, pressing to ensure the filling won’t leak.
-
Season outside of burgers with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Step 4: Grill or Pan-Fry
-
Grill burgers over medium-high heat, 4-5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked.
-
If pan-frying, use a cast iron skillet for best sear.
-
Internal temp should reach 160°F.
Step 5: Toast the Buns & Build Your Burger
-
Lightly toast buns.
-
Add lettuce, tomato, and any sauces or toppings.
-
Serve hot—careful, the filling will be melty!
