  • Author: Mary

Ingredients

Scale

Burger Patties:

  • lbs ground beef (80/20 preferred)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • Salt & pepper to taste

Stuffing:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2 jalapeños, seeded and finely diced

  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled

  • Pinch of salt

Optional Toppings:

  • Lettuce

  • Tomato slices

  • Red onion rings

  • Pickles

  • Spicy mayo or ranch

  • Burger buns

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Filling

  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar, diced jalapeños, crumbled turkey bacon, and a pinch of salt.

  • Set aside or refrigerate briefly to firm up.

Step 2: Prepare the Burger Patties

  • Divide the beef into 8 equal portions.

  • Flatten each into thin patties (about 4-5 inches wide).

Step 3: Assemble the Burgers

  • Scoop 1-2 tablespoons of filling onto 4 patties.

  • Top with the remaining patties.

  • Seal edges tightly, pressing to ensure the filling won’t leak.

  • Season outside of burgers with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Step 4: Grill or Pan-Fry

  • Grill burgers over medium-high heat, 4-5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked.

  • If pan-frying, use a cast iron skillet for best sear.

  • Internal temp should reach 160°F.

Step 5: Toast the Buns & Build Your Burger

  • Lightly toast buns.

  • Add lettuce, tomato, and any sauces or toppings.

  • Serve hot—careful, the filling will be melty!
