Irresistible Peach Dumplings Recipe – Easy, Buttery, and Perfect for Summer Desserts

  • Author: Mary

Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls

  • 2 fresh peaches, peeled and pitted

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter

  • 1¼ cups granulated sugar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 6 oz can of Sprite (or 7-Up or Mountain Dew)

  • Ground cinnamon, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    • Butter a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.

  2. Prepare Peaches:

    • Cut each peach into 8 slices, removing the peel.

  3. Assemble Dumplings:

    • Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.

    • Place a peach slice at the wide end of each triangle and roll up.

    • Place each rolled crescent into the prepared baking dish.

  4. Make Sauce:

    • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

    • Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar and vanilla extract until just combined.

    • Pour the butter mixture evenly over the dumplings.

  5. Add Soda:

    • Pour about half of the Sprite (approximately 6 oz) around the edges of the baking dish, avoiding pouring directly over the dumplings.

  6. Bake:

    • Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the rolls are completely cooked.

  7. Serve:

    • Let the dumplings cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

    • Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
