1¼ cups granulated sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla extract
-
6 oz can of Sprite (or 7-Up or Mountain Dew)

Instructions

Preheat Oven:
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
Butter a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.

Prepare Peaches:
-
Cut each peach into 8 slices, removing the peel.
-

Assemble Dumplings:
-
Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
-
Place a peach slice at the wide end of each triangle and roll up.
-
Place each rolled crescent into the prepared baking dish.
-

Make Sauce:
-
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
-
Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar and vanilla extract until just combined.
-
Pour the butter mixture evenly over the dumplings.
-
-
Add Soda:
-
Pour about half of the Sprite (approximately 6 oz) around the edges of the baking dish, avoiding pouring directly over the dumplings.
