Hearty Cowboy Beans with Ground Beef: A Comforting BBQ Favorite

  • 1 lb ground beef or beef sausage

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained

  • 1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, drained

  • 1 can (15 oz) baked beans (with sauce)

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup ketchup

  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

 

  1. In a large skillet, brown ground beef with onion and garlic; drain fat.

  2. Add all beans, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, and paprika. Stir to combine.

  3. Simmer on low for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Serve warm as a main dish or side at your next BBQ!
