Garlic Parmesan Grilled Chicken – Juicy, Cheesy, and Perfectly Charred

For the Chicken and Marinade:

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs

  • ¼ cup olive oil

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning

  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)

For the Parmesan Finish:

  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 tbsp melted butter (optional for basting)

  • Chopped parsley for garnish


Instructions

  • Make the Marinade:
    Mix olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs.

  • Marinate Chicken:
    Place chicken in a resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour in the marinade and refrigerate for 30 minutes to overnight.

  • Preheat Grill:
    Heat grill to medium-high (around 400°F). Oil the grates.

  • Grill Chicken:
    Remove chicken from marinade and place on the grill. Cook 5–7 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.

  • Finish with Parmesan:
    Sprinkle Parmesan over chicken in the final minute. Optionally, brush with melted butter.

 

  • Rest and Serve:
    Let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
