Ingredients

1½ lbs Brussels sprouts, halved

3 tbsp unsalted butter

2 tbsp olive oil

4 garlic cloves, minced

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

Optional: lemon juice, grated Parmesan, red pepper flakes
Instructions
1. Prep the Sprouts

Trim stem ends and slice Brussels sprouts in half. Remove any loose or yellowed leaves.
2. Sear on the Stovetop

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high.

Add sprouts cut-side down in a single layer. Cook undisturbed for 5–6 minutes until deeply golden.
3. Add Garlic Butter

Lower heat to medium. Add butter and garlic to the pan. Stir and toss sprouts to coat.

Sauté another 4–5 minutes until sprouts are tender but not mushy.
4. Finish and Serve

Season with salt, pepper, and optional lemon juice or cheese.
