Garlic Butter Brussels Sprouts – Crispy and Flavor-Packed Side

  • lbs Brussels sprouts, halved

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • Optional: lemon juice, grated Parmesan, red pepper flakes


Instructions

1. Prep the Sprouts

  • Trim stem ends and slice Brussels sprouts in half. Remove any loose or yellowed leaves.

2. Sear on the Stovetop

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high.

  • Add sprouts cut-side down in a single layer. Cook undisturbed for 5–6 minutes until deeply golden.

3. Add Garlic Butter

  • Lower heat to medium. Add butter and garlic to the pan. Stir and toss sprouts to coat.

  • Sauté another 4–5 minutes until sprouts are tender but not mushy.

4. Finish and Serve

 

  • Season with salt, pepper, and optional lemon juice or cheese.

  • Serve hot and enjoy the crispy, buttery magic.
