Ingredients
For the Pasta and Beef:

8 ounces medium pasta shells

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pound ground beef

½ medium sweet onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
For the Sauce:

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 cups beef stock

1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce

¾ cup heavy cream
-
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1½ cups shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese (about 6 ounces)
Instructions

Cook the Pasta

Boil a large pot of salted water.

Add pasta shells and cook until al dente.

Drain and set aside.

Cook the Beef
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add ground beef and cook until browned (3-5 minutes).

Drain excess fat.

Add Aromatics and Seasonings

Stir in diced onion and cook until translucent (about 2 minutes).

Add minced garlic and Italian seasoning; cook for 1 minute.

Make the Sauce

Sprinkle flour over the beef mixture; stir well.

Cook for 1 minute.

Gradually whisk in beef stock and tomato sauce.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 6-8 minutes.

Stir in cooked pasta shells and heavy cream.
