Cinnamon Roll Casserole Recipe – Easy, Gooey, and Perfect for Breakfast or Brunch

  • Author: Mary

Ingredients

Scale

  • Two 12.4-ounce tubes refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)

  • One 21-ounce can apple pie filling

  • 5 tablespoons salted butter, melted

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • 1 cup pecan halves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.

  2. Prepare Cinnamon Rolls: Open the cinnamon roll tubes and set aside the icing for later. Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters.

  3. Layer in Dish: Evenly distribute the cinnamon roll pieces in the prepared baking dish.

  4. Add Butter: Drizzle the melted butter over the cinnamon roll pieces.

  5. Mix Sugar and Cinnamon: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over the buttered rolls.

  6. Add Apple Filling: If the apple chunks are large, chop them up a bit. Spoon the filling over the cinnamon rolls.

  7. Optional Pecans: Sprinkle pecans on top if you like them.

  8. Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are fully cooked and golden brown.

  9. Cool and Ice: Let it cool slightly. Microwave the icing for 10–15 seconds and drizzle over the top.

  10. Serve: Slice it up and serve warm!
