Cheeseburger Bombs with Turkey Bacon: A Perfect Party Snack or Dinner Delight

  • Author: Mary

Ingredients

Scale
  • Cooking spray

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 3 slices turkey bacon, chopped

  • ¼ cup minced onion

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • 3 tablespoons dill pickle relish

  • 3 tablespoons yellow mustard

  • 3 tablespoons BBQ sauce

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 (16.3 oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands!)

  • 5 oz Cheddar cheese, cut into 16 cubes

  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds

  • ⅓ cup ketchup, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly coat 16 muffin cups with cooking spray.

  2. Cook the filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, chopped turkey bacon, and minced onion until beef is browned, about 6 minutes. Drain excess fat.

  3. Season the mixture: Stir in dill pickle relish, yellow mustard, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside to cool slightly.

  4. Prepare the dough: Separate each biscuit in half to make 16 pieces. Flatten each piece into a ¼-inch thick circle.

  5. Assemble the bombs: Place about 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture in the center of each dough circle. Top with a cube of Cheddar cheese. Wrap the dough around the filling, pinching the edges to seal and form a ball.

  6. Bake: Place each ball seam-side down into the prepared muffin cups. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  7. Bake in the oven for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown.

  8. Serve: Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with ketchup for dipping.
