Ingredients
-
Cooking spray
-
1 lb ground beef
-
3 slices turkey bacon, chopped
-
¼ cup minced onion
-
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
-
3 tablespoons dill pickle relish
-
3 tablespoons yellow mustard
-
3 tablespoons BBQ sauce
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 (16.3 oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands!)
-
5 oz Cheddar cheese, cut into 16 cubes
-
2 teaspoons sesame seeds
-
⅓ cup ketchup, for dipping
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly coat 16 muffin cups with cooking spray.
-
Cook the filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, chopped turkey bacon, and minced onion until beef is browned, about 6 minutes. Drain excess fat.
-
Season the mixture: Stir in dill pickle relish, yellow mustard, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside to cool slightly.
-
Prepare the dough: Separate each biscuit in half to make 16 pieces. Flatten each piece into a ¼-inch thick circle.
-
Assemble the bombs: Place about 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture in the center of each dough circle. Top with a cube of Cheddar cheese. Wrap the dough around the filling, pinching the edges to seal and form a ball.
-
Bake: Place each ball seam-side down into the prepared muffin cups. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
-
Bake in the oven for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown.
-
Serve: Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with ketchup for dipping.
