Broccoli Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breasts – Easy & Cheesy Recipe

  • Author: Mary

Ingredients

Scale

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup broccoli florets, chopped
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup cream cheese, softened
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken:

    • Using a sharp knife, carefully cut a pocket into the side of each chicken breast without slicing all the way through.
    • Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Make the Filling:

    • In a medium bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, and garlic powder.
    • Mix until well combined.
  • Stuff the Chicken:

    • Fill each chicken breast pocket with the broccoli cheese mixture.
    • Use toothpicks to secure the openings to prevent the filling from spilling out during cooking.
  • Cook the Chicken:

    • Air Fryer Method:
      • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
      • Place the stuffed chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
      • Cook for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
    • Oven Method:
      • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
      • Place the stuffed chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
      • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  • Serve:

    • Remove the toothpicks before serving.
    • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
    • Enjoy your cheesy, broccoli-stuffed chicken breasts warm.
