Ingredients
-
1 (9-inch) pie crust, baked and cooled
-
1 cup cold water
-
1 cup granulated sugar
-
3 tablespoons cornstarch
-
1 (3 oz) package strawberry-flavored gelatin
-
1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
-
Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
Instructions
-
Prepare the Pie Crust: Bake the 9-inch pie crust according to package or recipe instructions. Allow it to cool completely.
-
Make the Strawberry Glaze: In a medium saucepan, combine cold water, granulated sugar, and cornstarch. Whisk together and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and becomes clear. Remove from heat and stir in the strawberry gelatin until fully dissolved. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.
-
Assemble the Pie: Arrange the quartered fresh strawberries evenly in the cooled pie crust. Pour the cooled gelatin mixture over the strawberries, ensuring they are well-coated.
-
Chill the Pie: Refrigerate the pie for at least 2–3 hours, or until the gelatin is set.
-
Serve: Top with whipped cream if desired. Slice and enjoy!
