Ingredients
-
4 ripe pears, halved and cored
-
½ cup rolled oats
-
½ cup chopped pecans
-
¼ cup brown sugar
-
¼ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
-
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
-
Pinch of kosher salt
Optional toppings:
-
Whipped cream, ice cream, or yogurt
-
Drizzle of honey or caramel sauce
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
-
Arrange the pear halves cut side up in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
-
In a medium bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped pecans, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
-
Add the cold, cubed butter to the oat mixture. Using your fingers or a pastry cutter, blend the butter into the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
-
Spoon approximately 2 tablespoons of the crumble topping onto each pear half, pressing gently to adhere.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pears are tender and the crumble topping is golden brown.
-
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm, optionally topped with whipped cream, ice cream, or yogurt, and a drizzle of honey or caramel sauce.
