Baked Pears with Crumble Topping – Easy & Delicious Dessert Recipe

  • 4 ripe pears, halved and cored

  • ½ cup rolled oats

  • ½ cup chopped pecans

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Pinch of kosher salt

Optional toppings:

  • Whipped cream, ice cream, or yogurt

  • Drizzle of honey or caramel sauce


Instructions

 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.

  2. Arrange the pear halves cut side up in a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  3. In a medium bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped pecans, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.

  4. Add the cold, cubed butter to the oat mixture. Using your fingers or a pastry cutter, blend the butter into the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

  5. Spoon approximately 2 tablespoons of the crumble topping onto each pear half, pressing gently to adhere.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pears are tender and the crumble topping is golden brown.

  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm, optionally topped with whipped cream, ice cream, or yogurt, and a drizzle of honey or caramel sauce.
