  • 1 baguette, cut into three equal pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 12 frozen chicken meatballs
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

 

  1. Prepare the Bread:

    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
    • Slice each baguette piece lengthwise, ensuring one side remains intact to hold the meatballs securely.
  2. Make the Garlic Butter:

    • In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, butter, and Italian seasoning until well combined.
  3. Toast the Bread:

    • Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly inside each baguette piece.
    • Place the baguettes on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the butter has melted and the bread is lightly toasted. Remove from the oven and set aside.
  4. Cook the Meatballs:

    • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the frozen chicken meatballs and marinara sauce.
    • Cook until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce is bubbling, about 10 minutes.
  5. Assemble the Subs:

    • Place four meatballs into each toasted baguette piece, spooning additional marinara sauce over the meatballs.
    • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of each sub.
  6. Bake the Subs:

    • Return the assembled subs to the oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
